This Early 20th-century American Sheraton style mirror features ebonized and gilt turned columns framing an inset reverse painted panel depicting a solitary house against a moody sky. Inspired by Federal and Sheraton mirrors of the early American republic, reverse painted mirrors remained popular decorative objects into the early 20th-century, blending neoclassical forms with hand painted pastoral and architectural scenes.
